FootScoreNow is an independent football media platform serving real-time match data, original editorial content and comprehensive tournament coverage to football fans worldwide. We cover the FIFA World Cup 2026, all major club competitions and international football across every confederation.
FootScoreNow was founded by a group of football fans who were tired of using scores platforms that were slow, bloated with ads, or simply wrong. The core frustration was simple: you want to check a score at full time, and the app still shows the game as live β fifteen minutes after the final whistle.
We built the platform we wanted to use. Starting with a clean, mobile-first interface, we prioritised data accuracy and load speed above everything else. The result is a self-hosted data pipeline that pulls from live sources, processes match events in real time, and serves the data through a modern, edge-optimised web application.
As the platform grew, so did our ambition. We built an editorial section staffed by writers who cover tactics, transfers and tournament football β not press-release rewrites. We expanded to over 200 competitions globally. And with the FIFA World Cup 2026 approaching β the largest in history with 48 nations across three countries β we invested heavily in dedicated tournament infrastructure: live group standings, a real-time knockout bracket and match-by-match analysis for every game.
FootScoreNow concept developed β a mobile-first football data platform designed to be faster and cleaner than existing options.
Infrastructure built: self-hosted data proxy, real-time score pipeline, initial league coverage for Premier League and World Cup qualifiers.
News and editorial section launched. Authors and editorial team onboarded. Coverage expanded to 200+ competitions.
Full FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage: group standings, knockout bracket, live scores for all 104 matches across the USA, Canada and Mexico.
FootScoreNow covers football at every level β from the FIFA World Cup to qualifying rounds for continental competitions.
We built FootScoreNow because we were frustrated with slow, cluttered scores apps. Every architectural decision β from our self-hosted data layer to our edge-cached Next.js frontend β is made to serve data to your screen faster than the competition.
Our news and analysis is written independently. We have no sponsorship arrangements with football clubs, agents or governing bodies that influence our coverage. Our editorial team calls it as they see it β good or bad.
A fan in Tokyo, Lagos and Buenos Aires all care deeply about results β just at different times. FootScoreNow covers every timezone, every confederation, and presents match data clearly whether you are following the Champions League final or a World Cup qualifier in Oceania.
Score data goes through multiple verification layers before it appears on your screen. When errors occur β as they occasionally do in live sports β our team corrects them as quickly as possible and maintains a transparent corrections process.
FootScoreNow operates a dedicated editorial team responsible for all original content published on the platform. Articles, analysis pieces and news reports are written by football journalists and enthusiasts who are subject to our Editorial Policy.
We use artificial intelligence tools to assist with research, drafting and fact-checking β but all published content is reviewed and approved by a human editor before going live. AI-assisted articles are clearly labelled as such where appropriate. We never publish AI-generated content without editorial oversight.

Our data pipeline is built in-house on a self-hosted infrastructure. Match events are collected from multiple live sports data sources and processed through our own API layer, which normalises data formats, handles caching, and pushes updates to the frontend with minimal latency.
The FootScoreNow web application is built with Next.js and deployed globally via a CDN, meaning pages load from a server geographically close to you regardless of where you are. Match time displays are automatically converted to your local timezone using browser-side detection.
